About the Event

CAYA – Come As You Are is the cornerstone program of the Brave Women Project and the origin of the organization itself. Founded during the early days of the pandemic, CAYA began as a virtual gathering designed to combat isolation and create a sense of belonging among women facing uncertainty.

What started as a small group conversation quickly evolved into a structured, evidence-informed model for emotional connection, personal reflection, and peer support that continues to thrive today.

Held monthly as a one-hour members-only virtual session, CAYA provides a confidential, supportive space for women to share, listen, and grow together. Each session is guided by the Brave Women Project’s 5 Es for Life: Educate, Empower, Engage, Encourage, and Evolve. Participants begin by identifying which “E” they most connect with that moment and share a personal story illustrating why. The emphasis is on listening rather than advising, fostering trust, empathy, and authentic communication.
