About the Event

The Brave Women Project and Professional Women’s Network invite you to attend an educational discussion and tour of Magee-Womens Research Institute (MWRI), followed by a cocktail reception. Learn about how MWRI is helping solve real-world problems and impacting the future of women’s health. If you would like to make a donation to MWRI, or pledge to match funds raised, please contact Holly or Mary.

We will hear from Executive Director Yoel Sadovsky, MD, and CEO Michael Annichine, tour the MWRI laboratories, and learn about MWRI’s transformative research directly from the researchers. 

  • Mary Ackenbom, MD – Dr. Ackenbom will discuss Women’s Wellness and cognitive disorders after surgery. 

  • Steffi Oesterreich, PhD – Dr. Oesterreich will share an overview of current research at the Women’s Cancer Research Center. 

  • Lisa Cencia Rohan, PhD – Dr. Rohan will discuss the critical creation of pharmaceutical products for women. Her lab is developing safe, effective, and acceptable…
